MQA establish and maintain a national register known as the Malaysian Qualifications Register (MQR); containing programmes, qualifications and higher education providers accredited programs. MQR objective is to provide information on accredited programmes awarded by higher education providers. These programmes must conform to the Malaysian Qualifications Framework which acts as Malaysia’s declaration about its qualifications and their quality in relation to its education system. MQA acts to implement the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF) which is a basis for quality assurance of higher education and as the reference point for the criteria and standards for national Qualifications.

With the grace of God Al-Mighty; Webometrics (http://www.webometrics.info/en/Asia/Malaysia%20) has released the first half results for 2017 that shows MEDIU earning its 10th place in the Malaysia’s private university level and 30th for the overall Universities in Malaysia.

  • Ranked 30th place overall in the category of Malaysian universities; out of 403 universities and colleges.

  • Ranked 1,285th place for Asia region universities; out of 11,477 universities.
  • Ranked 125th place in the category of Arabic and Islamic universities; out of 987 universities.

The Australian Classification of Universities and International Institutes(4ICUs) is a world ranking classification as the University’s websites is measured by the recognition or accreditation received from international organizations and institutions. The classification is being acknowledged for every six months period; and the data is updated for all the universities and colleges that participates; with a total of 12,358 universities and colleges from 200 countries are categorized according to the recognition of its website.

The classification is based on three independent and objective measures at web, derived from three research engines:

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) took a step forward in extending bridges of cooperation and moving ahead towards achieving its objective and vision, as well to be in connection with international organization. Recently, MEDIU was acknowledged as a member of Malaysian Higher Education Institutions Quality Assurance Network (MyQAN) on 14 November 2016.

MyQAN is a peer network of quality assurance representatives of higher education institutions (HEIs) in Malaysia with the aim to nurture a sustainable and matured quality assurance system and culture among higher education institutions in Malaysia. By being a membership of MyQAN, enables the university to understand and discuss the challenges facing HEIs in managing internal quality assurance and how to overcome them, earn and share good practices to strengthen internal quality assurance, contribute to nurturing education quality in Malaysia and beyond as well as engage with the authorities on matters of strategic importance to the institution.

Praise be to Allah Al-Mighty, Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) has received an approval application status for a dual mode institution recently. The approval has been obtained through a letter that was received on 8 September 2016 by the Department of Higher Education Malaysia.

This shows on MEDIU’s teamwork in order to achieve the objectives in the field of education and recognizing the importance of quality education. Until now, a total of 66 university’s academic programs have been fully recognized by MQA and with the approval of the dual mode status, MEDIU’s able to offer more academic programs in the near future in line with the demand of market needs as well as to make improvements to existing academic programs.

MEDIU is registered under the Ministry of Higher Education [KPT/JPS/DFT/US/B22] established since June 2007 as a private educational institution offering on-line and on-campus academic programs globally.
